University of York launches its Laidlaw Scholar Leadership programme

The University of York has launched its Laidlaw Scholars leadership programme by delivering a development and assessment centre (DAC) and three day leadership programme.

The Scholars experienced a series of activities, which were assessed against a set of global leadership behaviours, and which together with a psychometric personality profile enabled them to identify their strengths and areas for development. Following the DAC the Scholars took part in a three day leadership programme, focusing on self-development, understanding leadership and preparing for research.

The programme was highly participative and involved a number of experiential learning activities.
